I started practising yoga when I was a teenager, although I attended more dance classes than yoga classes at that time but found Yoga to be a great stress release.
As a younger woman I worked as a model, dancer and in the Film Industry as an extra and Stand- in to the stars !
I found my journey back to Yoga in 1996 after suffering with grief for many years after my Mum died in 1981 and found a great teacher quite close to home, Victoria Jane Adamson, who really inspired me to practise regularly and to eventually become a yoga teacher myself.
I trained for the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Diploma in 2002 , which was a brilliant stepping stone for me to change my direction in life and teach on a regular basis and still keep connections with the Film and TV industry .
The Sivananda yoga training is a deeply spiritual experience and after spending one month in an ashram the feeling stays deep inside forever.
I enhance my training continuously by attending workshops, seminars and master classes with a variety of very fine teachers of different lineages of yoga such as Shiva Rea, Claire Missingham, John Stirk, David Sye, Brian Cooper, Peter Rizzo, Bridget Woods Kramer ,Max Strom, Simon Low , Donna Farhi, & Jeff Phenix and endeavor to bring their teachings gently into my own.
I thank my teachers for all they have inspired in me.
I have a wonderful husband and son and thank my lucky stars for them. I cherish my dear family and friends with all my heart.
Many people come to yoga for different reasons and are able to transform any negativity they may have into a positive and wonderful journey.
Om shanti....
there is a light that shines upon all things on earth...
beyond the highest, the very highest heavens....
this is the light that shines in our hearts...." The Upanishads
